Work Sketches 4?
Another work sketch. Inspired by concept art for PS3 exclusive Killzone 2. Highlighting my lack of talent for shading. Truth is...i'm actually a robot sent from the future to discover the secrets of grey scale which we lost long ago. Also, if anyone knows some chick named Sarah Connor, hit me up ASAP please...

Ezio Auditore De Firenze
Another piece i did at work involving sitting at a desk for hours on end.Semi piece i did of Ezio, the main character from Assassin's Creed 2 which i'm playing right now. Awesome game.
This piece turned out kind weird. There are a few problems with perspective on his left arm that somehow creeped in there even though it worked in the preliminary stages. I also had to leave out a lot of stitching as it was too elaborate for the size i drew him in.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Raging Raven

http://www.youtube.com/user/Bruticu5#p/a/f/1/hyzyGh3I6PI
This is another piece from Metal Gear Solid 4. Raging Raven, the boss for the American PMC RavenSword, and one of the cooler members of the Beauty and the Beast Corps.
I've been wanted to do it for a long time, so i threw it together. Took my a while to do it because i had one version, didn't like it cause it wasn't dynamic enough, or interesting to look at. So i scrapped it and started over.
I took a lot of liberty representing the character the way i wanted. The original character has mechanical hands, and very large legs due to the mechanics being housed inside. She also doesn't have any feminine features. It fits with the graphics style of the game, but on paper, it would be rather boring.
The other piece (Screaming Mantis) was done a while ago, 2 or so posts down the page,

Screaming Mantis | Future Girl 2

"the Beauty and the Beast Corps, four female soldiers(Cyborgs) suffering from PTSD with orders to kill Snake"
Just beat Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots the other day. Mighty fine conclusion to the series. This is my take on Screaming Mantis. Obviously i changed some things. She is the Beauty and the Beast Corps. leader, and final boss (before Liquid Ocelot) Also, ridiculously easy for a last boss in my opinion. This piece took forever. And i got mighty tired of drawing crazy backwards cyborg hands. I also had to redo her Psycho Mantis Doll about 4 times. Also, drawing bar codes sucks. I'm thinking i might do Raging Raven as well. She's pretty cool too.

This is just a sketch i did at work. Call her Future Girl 2. This just came into my head.I also have a centaur guy comming inspired by a book i'm reading: Dante's Inferno. But horse legs are proving difficult in the angle i have him in. You win again mother nature...touche.

Updates!
So, This was for you Ash.
Redrawing this made me realize how much different i drew 2 years ago. Hopefully by now you don't think i suck, can't draw, and/or probably bad looking...but here is your wallpaper, lol! I redrew it because the old had ugly gunk and scribbles all over it. I also put the picture on the right as with most proper wallpapers. The resolution is around 1450x1000 so it should fit ok. Hope this satisfies you dude!
If not, here's Evangaline Lilly. She's pretty. Have fun. I'm hyper.

As for me, i drew this today at work in a 10hr shift at a desk with no internet. Just a sketch of Laughing Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 4. Might make a real piece out of it. Cool one. And no, she wears a black skull cap and doesn't have a face...im not retarded.

Witchblade: Shiori vs. Masane

This is a piece i conceptually started a month ago, and only did it this week. Lol. A while ago i got into the new anime series Witchblade. The character designs and soundtrack are SWEET, and the story is good enough considering the series is only 20 episodes long. Was originally going to put Masane on a concrete slab, but it woulda been way to busy. Also, this piece really needs colour. Shiori is navy blue. Masane is brown and blazing red hair. If i learn to digital paint, which i want to, ill be doing this piece at some point.

X-Guy

Just a sketch of a character i've been thinking about for a while. No name yet, so, he shall be known as...X-Guy! Cause i'm so original.
I'll probably take some time to fix this one up later. It's just a sketch, so there's a lot of mistakes that can be fixed, but i thought i'd put it up anyway cause checking out sketches is usually pretty cool.

Spawn and Angela: Revised

Spawn and Angela v2: Revised
So, after talking to my friend about the piece, he thought the cape wasn't right, and Angela's ribbons should be less strict. So, voila! It totally left my mind that i had one of the graphic novels, so i checked it out, and i think his cape looks way better now, barring this is my style, not Capullo's.
I would have a job if it could draw like my lord and saviour :P

Spawn and Angela
Spawn And Angela v.1: CleanHere's my piece i've been working on for like...a month. Turned out pretty good. There will probably be a shaded version. As you may notice there are little x's all around. That indicates what areas should be done in black shading. A really useful way to keep track of the places that need to be hard shaded...which i do often. lolz. I'm also getting better at hair and men/muscles.
Version 2: Revisions and shaded is comming :)

Warhammer 40,000K: Space Marine, Force Commander of the Blood Raven Chapter

"They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear."
- The God Emperor of Man
This is just my interpretation of a classic Warhammer character. I wanted to change some things to make it slightly more accurate like the mechanics inside his suit and it's overal design, as well as the insignia's which should be on his right shoulder and chest, but the original pencilling was destroyed :(

Mass Effect: Krogan Battlemaster Shaded
Sunday, 23 November 2008
Mass Effect: Krogan Battlemaster
"The Krogan are a species of large reptilian bipeds native to Tuchanka, a world known for its harsh environment, scarce resources and over-abundance of vicious predators. Once hailed as the saviors of the galaxy for their successful destruction of a dangerously xenophobic and powerful spacefaring insectoid Race known as the rachni, the Krogan are now a shadow of their former prominence.Flush with confidence following their defeat of the Rachni and the recognition of the Citadel races and their subsequent leniency towards the Krogans' obvious ambition for an empire of their own, the Krogan began colonizing worlds at a dangerous rate, eventually forcibly colonizing inhabited worlds and encroaching upon Citadel territories. Unwilling to curtail their activities and relinquish those worlds and territories belonging to other races, the Krogan rebelled against the Citadel council.
Initially, the Krogan had considerable success in action against the combined militaries of the Citadel races, however, in desperation, the Salarians concocted the Genophage, a biological weapon that would infect the Krogan on a genetic level and make only 1 in 1000 births viable. Once infected by the Turians with this weapon, the Krogan were unable to maintain their numbers and through attrition were eventually defeated. Because of the continuing effects of the Genophage, the Krogan are a dying species and are trapped in a downward spiral of meaningless violence. Some Krogan hire themselves out as mercenaries, assassins or muscle for various organized crime syndicates. Biotic individuals are rare, though those who do possess the talent are typically quite strong in their abilities and are referred to as Battlemasters"
More Mass Effect. This is a nice piece. Shaded version will be comming later!

Mass Effect: Geth Stalker
The Geth are a race of networked AIs that reside beyond the Perseus Veil. The Geth were created nearly 300 years ago by the Quarians as labourers and tools of war. When the Geth began to question their masters, the Quarians realized they had achieved self-awareness and thus attempted to exterminate them. The Geth won the resulting war, banishing the Quarians from their home world and reducing them to a race of nomads. The Geth Have aligned themselves with the rogue Spectre Saren, believing that he is the prophet of the Reapers return. The Geth consider the Reapers their machine gods and have dedicated themselves to serving them. Saren later reveals that his dreadnaugt, Soveriegn, is actually a Reaper and considers itself of such evolutionary stature that the Geth's worship is insulting to it, and consider's them nothing but tools to it's conquest. This piece is ok. Coulda' turned out better. Did it at night. Got inspired. Had to do it before i lost it. Also trying to start drawing things i don't usually draw such as aliens etc.

This is the Turian I did before. I'm a noob to shading so every now and then, I find areas i missed. So, this is version 2. Really like this sketch.

Mass Effect: Turian Agent
"The Turians were the last of the Citadel species to join the Council. The Turians gained this position after defeating the Krogan for the Council during the "Krogan Rebellions," employing a salarian-developed biological called the Genophage which virtually eliminated the possibility of new Krogan births and caused that species to go into a steady decline. Most also have painted-on markings on their faces whose design and color denote which colony or system they were born or raised in. There are some Turians who do not have face markings and are derogatorily known as "bare-faced."
Turians have a reputation for skill and bravery in combat, but are not considered bloodthirsty. In combat, Turian units are highly adaptable and yet highly disciplined. Turian units do not break, no matter how disadvantaged; they will retreat and withdraw if necessary, but will do so in an orderly fashion, setting up vicious rear-guard actions and ambushes along the way. A rigid code of honor and strict discipline are the hallmarks of any Turian officer and soldier. This includes humane treatment of prisoners and conquered enemies. A Turian unit will never willingly leave behind one of their own, no matter what the cost of going back to retrieve their comrade. Turian society in general is very honor-bound, concerned with the performance of one's duty, regardless of one's role in society. All Turians work for the glory of the state and are all state-employed in some way. Military service is required for all Turian citizens, as well as client races who wish to become full Turian citizens."
Just beat Mass Effect. This is just a cleaned sketch of a Turian Agent. Just got inspired; All the races in that game are super cool and unique, and designed so stylishly. This is the first of several. Shading came out okie doke as well and the piece isn't to bad. Ill probably do the Asary Commando and Krogan Battlemaster next.

X-Girl?

So, this started as a sketch at Algonquin Sketch night thus this character has no name or background. Kinda liked it, and turned it into an actual piece. Took me like...3 weeks, but hey...not sure whether to do more shading, or to leave it. Plus, i suck at hair, so i might work on that lol!

Zerg Zergling:
"Awaken my child, and embrace the glory that is you're birthright. Know that i am the Overmind, the eternal will of the Zerg, and that you have been created to serve me." - The Zerg OvermindZerg Zergling:
The small, savage dune runners of the sand world Zz'Gashi were incorporated into the Zerg Swarm to serve as scouts and initial assault troops. Although the Zerglings are little more then feral animals, they work well in large groups under the command of larger Zerg warriors. The voracious Zerglings are fond of ripping enemies to shreds with their razor limb sickles and fangs. Because the genetic code of the Zergling is so simple to replicate, a single Larva can spawn two seperate Zerglings.

Zu Rodina Comrade!

So here's my concept of some cool Pyro Soviet Officer. It was inspired by the Metal Gear series. A lot of the boss's are totally obscure but ridiculously cool in concept at the same time, mixing character themes that don't usually go together like gun-slinging russians, and maniacle astronauts.
I think I'll revisit this guy later. I like him, but i can see a few mistakes.

A long time ago in the land of Sub-T'Arr...
... there lived a slave master...this slave master was not nice...this is he...bow before him or face life time servitude in the spice mines of Ratha'Gas'Korr!
...The beautiful yet somehow well kept princess he keeps locked in his dungeon...Ok, this is a piece i started like a million years ago and never finished, so i took the opportunity's to in Sketch Night at the college.
AND this piece most people know. However for whatever reason i forgot to shade the lance and never noticed. So, i took some time to fix her up. Added detail to the demon. Shaded the lance. Erased smudges. Finned lines. Corrected shadows. Added shadows where there should have been. Thats how i roll.

Megatron: Why throw away your life so recklessly Prime? Optimus: That's a question you should ask yourself Megatron!
I recently happen to get into digitally editing pictures and what not to make desktop wallpapers. This image is from Transformers G1 issue #1 published by IDW, the redux of Transformers G1 from the 1980s. Anyone who knows me knows me knows I love the original transformers more then my own mother...and dog so here's my favourite one. Picture is obviously property of IDW, so don't try to say you drew it, or you'll get in poo-poo (duh...)Name: Optimus Prime vs Megatron
Size: 1680 x 1050
Artist: Pat Lee

Word up Homies! Yea, so playing around with Photoshop CS3 i found a "glow" function. Angel...glow...yea, i think we all get were this is going...Anywho cool experiment.

New Stuff Galor!
H'ok sho'...This is a character i made for a design class. The objective was to make a character based on certain archetypes, and rotate him. I chose a "Saturday morning" style super villain. Simple, but aesthetically pleasing. This is a rough thumbnail.
And again...
This is the same character in a 3/4 proportion box. This is the new, improved, and revised version of my first. I gave him a mask for a face based on popular demand lol. The mask needs work to make it look proper still, but i like it.
The aforementioned old version
This one is totally different. This is my concept of Elune. All the Warcraft people out there will know that elune is the Night Elves forest and moon goddess. I still haven't figured out a costume for her yet. My first one sucked lol.

Rachel's Prize Shaded
H'ok, so, here is the comic shaded version. The demon creature wasn't done particularly well in my opinion just because, I'm a n00b shader, and I'm only started to learn how to draw muscles let alone shade them properly. I probably won't call this done on account of I'm a n00b shader, and ill probably learn how to do it much more proper and pristinely in the future, but this is definitely cooler then the original.

Rachel's Prize

Yo Yo YO. Sup Gangsters...
here's a new piece. It's a remix of an older piece i did based in the Spawn universe by Todd McFarlane. It is an Angel named Rachel that i thought up (farther down the page are references of two original angels named Angela and Tiffany for those curious as to what the hell I'm talking about). It Took me forever to do, but i really like it. There are several mistakes in it, some of them are on purpose, some of them were just too big to fix, so i left them in. It's like the games from the newspaper...can you spot the difference!?
I plan on actually shading this one...it will be my first attempting at properly shading...ever..so hopefully i won't screw it up. So look for that soon to come. Shouldn't take long. Seeing as i was snowed in today when i was supposed to be at school working, i spent the day learning to comic-shade. I did some practices on her and it should look in-frikkin-credible!
